The US is involved because of the long term strategy to place key people in key positions as outlined by Prof. Mearsheimer and that task has been completed , again according to the professor.
The chaos and confusion is part of the strategy -- it's all been done before in the past.

I guess you have to follow the money so to speak. .
Who stands to benefit and who stands to lose.
The holocaust seemed to benefit a particular sect , whilst the Jews as a whole copped the flack.
Who knows, there has been so much suppression and distortion of history
