As part of his protest against the 2014 Gaza war that year, a Jewish-American n Massachusetts (Lenny Lapon) renounced the citizenship that he said Israel had conferred on him when he flew to Tel Aviv in October 2010. If this case is not exceptional, one or more Jewish members of Congress may similarly have acquired Israeli citizenship if and when they visited Israel.
