There aren't many kids left in Gaza, they have been the primary target of all that advanced weaponry from the US. All, that is left is hate , and that is precisely what Israel wants, it is a part of their strategic doctrine to justify hyper militarisation and expansion.
All they do is say we are under threat from our neighbours who hate us , then ignore international convention and inflict force designed to annihilate so they can then occupy.
