Police investigate deadly Bondi stabbing
New South Wales police say they have no reason to believe the stabbing murder of an Israeli man was connected to his nationality or world events.

Eastern Suburbs Area Commander Mark Walton says the man was standing on the street near his home and a convenience store.

He says at about 9:30pm AEST there was a fight or an attack and the Israeli man was stabbed numerous times.

"We don't believe there is any connection in relation to his background as an Israeli citizen," he said.

"We're very open minded as to what has occurred in this matter, but there is nothing in relation to information or evidence that suggests it is connected with this man's nationality or religious background."

Police are searching for two men and the car seen leaving the scene.

They are now canvassing the local area and have set up a task force to investigate the murder
