Esau not so perfect. We know under Hyrcanus Esau or Edomites became Jews.
The most divine:
Jacob have I loved.
Esau have I hated.
Jacob Israel- The house of Israel
Edomites- Jews- Inhabitants became rulers of Judea.
In summary The Most Divine is saying I love Israel yet I hate the Jews.
Encyclopaedia Judaica 1971 Vol. 6, p. 370: “Bozra is Edom” and then quotes Genesis 36:1 “Esau which is Edom”, and then points out that Esau married a Canaanite/Hittite (Genesis 36:1 and 36:2), and also an Ishmaelite (Genesis 28:9) and Hivites (Genesis 36:2-3).
This is the reason Esau lost his birth right. He was not perfect in his ancestry.
