CAZALY ISSUES SUBPOENAS

In the proceedings before the Court of Appeal for judicial review of the Minister's decision to
terminate application E46/678, the Shovelanna tenement, pursuant to section 111A of the Mining
Act 1978 (WA), Cazaly Iron Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Cazaly Resources Ltd (ASX:CAZ), has issued
and served subpoenas upon:
• the Hon. Alan Carpenter, Premier of Western Australia and Minister for State Development;
• the Hon. John Bowler, Minister for Resources and Minister assisting the Minister for State
Development;
• Mr Leigh Clifford of Rio Tinto; and
• Mr Sam Walsh of Rio Tinto.
Unless the subpoenas are set aside, the persons served will be required to appear as witnesses
and give evidence at the substantive hearing in this matter commencing on 19 March 2006.
