you dont need to be sceptical about them issuing new shares. Take a look at their balance sheet. Does it look like they have the reserves to fund M&A? No.
Therefore, to acquire a mfg coy, they will need to issue new shares - i would have thought this was obvious.
A new share issue should be expected.
Now, in the future, if they do go as well as we would hope, you would also think that they will be making enough money to not have to issue more shares (hopefully ever again).
Would you agree?
