As I see 'shorting' working, it is largely a province of the institutional investors. Please correct me if I am wrong.

It appears at present that HRZ's sp is relatively slow moving unless an announcement shifts sentiment.

In that circumstance a broker may well manage a large shareholding in HRZ and is in a position to lend shares if requested at a fee. Let's say 5 to 10 million shares are lent to one entity in the present market for HRZ. An aggressive sale of 5-10m shares could drop the sp by let's say 15% in a couple of days without too much concern that someone might opt to pump the sp back to where the decline started. The entity duly buys them all (or as many as possible) over a short period at these lower prices and pockets the difference after returning the borrowed shares. The only losers are those who did not participate at all, the shareholders (whose shares may well have been involved and sold as they hit stops). It sucks but is allowed to happen.

That is manipulation and has been accommodated by the institutional holder, which pockets the fees involved and in reality doesn't have a direct interest in the performance of the shares held by them on behalf of investors.

It sucks, but if we are aware of it happening in hindsight at least, thanks to Lowkey's posts, then we here should be less likely to overreact.
    Theoretically, esp.
