Hybrids may be utilised, depending on how much ANZ spend, and when.
Hybrid notes may have been 'under utilised', but other forms of equity were utilised substantially....... so, it all evens out.
Like I said, if he spreads $2Bn out over the next 2 years, I doubt they will raise equity. There just isn't a need.
If however, it's more like, say, $4bn over the next 12 months... then, yes, they probably will issue hybrids :)
It depends whats out there.
But, please take two things from this.
9.5% includes RBS Asian and ING...
9.5% is ample, ATM.
