I never understood the small buy orders but since finding and reading this 2012 Alan Kohler ABC New's article, realise there is little anyone (apart from ASX) can do.  Who can gauge or measure the impact on a share price over time?  In a day's trade (possible?) - during a/week/month/year (more difficult).

I used to get upset when I saw the ASX allow small volume, very low price sell orders between 3:59 and 4:09 pm.  I have since learned not to watch the closing single price auction (CSPA).  If you google 'closing after market auction', it  is interesting to read some of the overseas articles written about closing price auctions e.g. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/k...-auction-is-eating-the-trading-day-2019-07-17

I'm sorry I miss most of the daily action...the highs of ISX as it reaches new peaks.  What a day it must have been today - 0.885c.

For anyone having to write SMSF minutes (for any future ATO queries), I believe it will be easy to explain an investment strategy where/or if ISX is a large part of your SMSF portfolio.  ISX and its share price have demonstrated growth, performance, stability and are not directly or adversely affected by China/Trump/tariffs/sanctions etc.  As we know, Brexit will also not be an adverse event for ISX.
