Really well timed announcement. News was needed on the ADI status. Quite informative too. APRA is mostly interested in protecting retail depositors and capital requirements follow. No credit or minimal market risk makes for a seriously derisked proposition which translates into higher likelihood of APRA approval. I recall reading somewhere that isx had met cps234 ahead of 1 July meaning a head start on other APRA regulated institutions. Such prudence could not hurt the application.
