This is what happens when you start talking about gaps being filled people who would otherwise buy now based on fundamentals will hold off expecting the price to drop and to buy in at a lower level hence buyers dry up people sell to lock in a small profit as they too will start to believe the price will drop and before you know it gap gets closed. It's all complete fantasy but people believe it and as I said before it's a self fulfilling prophecy if nobody mention or notices it then it won't happen.
