By 'others', whom are you referring to? Card providers?
Card payment is probably the most convenient method for merchants. It allows them ship goods or provide services immediately a payment is authorised, even if the funds haven't cleared. But the problem is with delays in receiving funds, fraud (liability is on the merchant) and chargebacks.
How many merchants can currently ship a product immediately a bank transfer is made? There is usually a clause that there will be delays - until funds are cleared. The reason is not just because there could be instant transfer delays, but a human needs to do th reconciliation. This is what ISX is saying: you can remove the human requirement.
PayPal solves that problem and BNPL too, but I think it's now obvious where BNPL is headed.
