I’m not sure speculation is the right term. The company has promised they will list, that was the main reason to demerge and move the assets to Europe yes?
I have no idea if there’s a potential take over in the wings, I doubt it, as they are just hitting their straps. You’d want a large premium to sell at this stage. Regardless a listing doesn’t hinder a takeover, Karantzis and Co have the voting numbers.
I think the listing is a real litmus test on the decency of the Directors; were they genuine in promoting the demerger as a way to provide liquidity to shareholders. I think past and present Directors would find themselves facing a class action if they don’t genuinely pursue a listing.
