    Ignoring all the escrow and performance shares stuff, from an indexing point of view its pretty important.
    -Calculating free float
    -Calculating management control block
    -Foreign ownership Caps
    It affects whether a stock is eligible for MSCI or S&P inclusion. And by extension, whether instos can get on board.
