It seems to me that it was the Visa rule changes accompanied by the ASX suspension that led us to where we are today.

Who knows what communications happened early on in the piece between the various parties, but there was more than enough information on display with the various query letters.

Given how far removed Australia is from Europe, I am guessing someone in AU drew Visa's attention to the ASX investigation which most likely caused Visa to suspend ISX due to AML, even though there was no direct evidence of AML breaches.

Just heaps of finger pointing and publicity with no real proof.

I have been told there is an ex-management AU VISA person working in management EU VISA. Reliable source, but I haven't independently confirmed.
