Nah, I only have 2 posters pegged as likely family members or employees. The rest, sadly, I think are con artist victims.
It's understandable. I have $15k on the line. For me, that is a big parcel. But it isn't life changing. Some people have $150k on the line. Some people have their Self-managed super involved. And poor investment controls mean some people are way too over-invested, and this could ruin their lives. If you're looking at your retirement and suddenly it isn't as rosy as it once was, it's easier to be a victim than to have been conned. I wouldn't want to go to my wife and tell her I'd made a bad investment that has permanently altered our lives. Denial is tough to work through.
