Stopping trading is to stop any volatility that may arise when we hear “HEY GUYS ASIC AND ASX ARE HAVING A PEEK AROUND!”
What do you think investors will do? Ride it out and say no problem? A trading halt was a good precaution to avoid any more skepticism against the company until it is all over. This place would be hell if it was actively trading.
We cannot always use other scenarios related to other companies to assume what will occur to another company.
It is relative to its own matters, simple as that.
For that, I disagree, I think due to the investigation a halt is a perfectly good reason in my opinion.
