ASX: SUV announced last week (26th August) "SUVO achieves 99.99% (4N) from Hugh Purity Alumina test work on samples from White Cloud resource". This is a great result for management and SUV shareholders and also for other kaolin producers, particularly if their deposits have the potential to achieve a HPA level of 4N's or better.

SUV is the 'canary in the coalmine' for CR9 in many ways. SUV's White Cloud deposit is situated a 30-40km from CR9's Tampu deposit, with both on a path to service the HPA market, SUV being more advanced at this stage. Comparing the 2 deposits with information that is currently publicly available is worthwhile to understand how CR9's Tampu deposit stacks up, and what we could possibly expect from the Met tests in the future CR9.

To achieve 4N's or greater, the needs to be as few impurities as possible, of all the impurities the most 'difficult' to remove is Fe2O3:

• SUV's announcement below indicates Fe2O3 levels of 0.29% and yields of 41.2%
• CR9's announcement below, Fe2O3 levels of 0.15% and yields of 57.2.%

The metallurgical tests currently being conducted on a CR9's samples will provide another data point on CR9's Tampu deposit before HPA testing would be performed, from the table below, the incentive to find the purest deposit and serve HPA markets becomes obvious:



Anyway....early days, its great to see SUV achieve 4N's and has me excited about what CR9 may have given initial favourable comparisons on the critical question of impurities.
