I thought very very interesting reading. after the Deputy Leader NSW has taken a few weeks off. and from what I can gather -he was a key in the sign off of PEP11 approval (I am optimistic on the OK- maybe some conditions - Well the powers that be must make their own mark on the thing-- just like dogs make their mark on anything when out and about

Even better if the final decision lies with Federal MP Keith Pitt. How much does Keith love gas ? He loves it more than Barialo and is from the Harvey Bay QLD area which is next door to Surat basin and Gladstone .

So I would not be suprised that MP Keith Pitt will ring up John Barialo and tell him to make it easy for him and hurry up and sign off on Pep 11. If Barialo does not comply or goes missing in action for a month, then MP Pitt will use his Commonwealth Powers and sign off on the deal anyway. So we should be happy that the final decision now vests with MP Pitt.

Remember that Pep-11 is in Commonwealth Waters and is under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government, so the end decision rests with Keith Pitt and his mate MP Matt Canavan who both love Gas as it’s new lifeblood of their regional QLD electorate.

Where we might eventual come into a small brick wall is the NSW state liberals who are disguised greenies at heart to appeal to inner city Sydney swing voters . This is Matt Kean, Rob Stokes and Gladys the premier. They will combine with Newcastle Council who are lefty/ greenies to snooker Advent when they drill and hit gas with a 78% chance to strike gas on a wild cat well and potentially tap into a theoretical 13.2 Trillion cubic feet of gas ( not just 5.7 TCF as some here keep emphasizing . It’s way bigger than that ! Think Bass Strait for 50 + years supply . It has the same gas forming geology forms as Cooper basin so good chance ).

How the NSW Liberals and labor run newcatle council could block it is the refusal to allow the Port of Newcastle to be used as a gas processing plant and terminal as it’s on NSW State controlled land . They might even prevent the sale of Port Land to advent, even though the Port Land is leased by the Chinese for 99 years since 2017.

As Advent and it’s mega corp future JV partners of syndicate of major Korean , Japanese and US gas heavyweights will need a 300 acre mega site for processing and gas loading export staging area in Newcastle Port.

If the State Government refuses to approve this then Commonwealth Government will enact Critical infrastructure Federal Powers and unite with the powerful CMFU local union whom Newcastle Council will have to listen to as the CMFU is the main supporter of Labor in Newcastle and approve it

If not there is a Plan B . There is a second mega site that is zoned industrial and has direct access to Newcastle Port via 30km , 30m wife easement for gas pipes all the way to this 2,000 acre site . The $6 Billion processing plant could be built on this site as it’s all ready owned by BPH energy major shareholder John Markovic . There is a reason why he is the major shareholder with Breeze.

It’s a site called Hunter economic zone . ( hez.com.au ) . That’s how he will snooker the State and local councils as he already has the land for the processing plant and gas power generation station tied up with a direct electrical grid to Sydney and Newcastle. The federal government could use this site as
overide plan b to put manouvre the state NSW and local governments .

He has assumed already there is a good chance of hitting gas and pre-prepared for the next stages of the Gas distribution cycle , that is getting it to shore, processed and exported . Yep he is a few steps already than all of us here hence becoming a deal influencers with David Breeze to make this gas strike happen and processed.
