Not Carbon neutral? OK.. explain why some Chinese cities are mandating electric scooters and buses? And pollution is indeed decreasing.
Without subsidies or incentives, electric is not cheap - you can buy tons of gasoline for the price of batteries.
I agree that whether Electric Vehicles are totally "Green" in the long run is open to question, especially with regard to battery manufacture and disposal.
However, as for a means to instantly minimize carbon emissions, there is little to debate.
