Py, the problem I see with your original post is that for GJ to have an ace up his sleeve, it really means there has to be other interested parties doesn't it? What kind of rabbit out of the hat could he pull without the support of another party? It really does hinge on whether GJ has been able to find other interested parties, because his options are very limited if he has not been able to.
As for the IP argument, I guess that comes down to how much IP SDL has handed over in the past few years in the form of studies, reports, what was given to China Harbour and China Rail, where the drill cores were logged etc. Just how much had to be submitted to the Cameroon Government as a pre-condition of moving forward with the Mbalam Convention etc? You'd imagine they would have received a bit more data for their experts to analyse compared to what shareholders have seen.
Interesting times. The company seems a little cornered at the moment to me, but if there are any other interested parties, surely they will be drawn out soon.
