I agree with the oil part, makes no sense. It often seems to me that it's the USA controlling oil. Their weekly inventory report moves oil like nothing else. People eye the weather in the USA more than Iran, for example. oh no, a warm spell during winter in the northern USA, oil drops $1. Other countries don't use oil?
Seasonally gold is weak and during last week has been unable to move much higher. Long term gold could be ok, if the US dollar drops off. I'd be worried about deflation though.
When I went to bed I thought the Dow would end up rallying because oil was falling. It didn't and surprised me. Deflation in everything? Probably not yet.
I agree the markets are very manipulated. Why do they go after small fish like Rivkin?
