- Head tracking still not demonstrated in even its most basic function in a fully controlled environment. Throw in possible problems of targets face being obscured (how does it snap back to the target face) poor of overly bright lighting changing the visual make up of the target face, possible obstructions to the natural "follow" flight path etc etc
- Live streaming video back to phone (I haven't seen a drone anywhere near this price point without add ons do this successfully yet)
- A working app that can keep a constant signal to and from the drone that has all the necessary features. face lock in, video storage, live streaming etc (a huge undertaking in its own right).
- Base and landing procedure
Red flags went up for me when Simon Kantor tried explaining the facial recognition on the Today show "Once its gets a profile of your face it can recognise the sides, recognise the angles". I'm sorry but anyone with a background in technology will tell you this is miles outside the current technology we have on any consumer level device. I kept my concerns to myself back than but this new tech demo clearly reaffirms my worst case scenario fears from back than.
