Just reading carefully what was released yesterday has me realising that the result of 187m @ 2.62% was only from 311m - 498m. The hole actually recorded 408m @ 1.35% from 90m - 498m. Whats better is that hole 32 finished in high grade mineralisation at 498m and needs to be extended. Also from this result its been decided that the holes will be drilled to 600m deep including hole 33 being a completely new hole instead of being wedged.
Another really important fact is that we have not only native copper in the core but Chalcocite, both native copper and chalcocite are the highest bearing copper minerals you can ask for. These 2 types of copper present is what will continue to deliver big grades
S36-032 Hole S36-032 is an ‘infill’ hole targeting the central, high-grade zone of the Kitumba mineral resource area. The hole was drilled vertically to an end of hole (EOH) depth of 500.5m to test for continuity of mineralisation and down-dip extension of the deposit.
A series of 413 samples were taken along the entire length of drill core for copper and gold analysis. The weighted average copper grade for the mineralised part of hole S36- 032 is 408m at 1.35% Cu between 90m and 498 meters, which is broken down further in Table 2.
Based on the results of holes S36-033 and S36-032 the high-grade copper zone appears to dip steeply to the east, with S36-032 drill hole ending in mineralisation. The high-grade zone is considered to be open at depth and consideration is being given to drilling holes deeper, with the redrilling of drill hole S36-033 targeting a minimum 600m depth.
