blythfan - with all due respect, you are way off the mark here with your call on how the native copper would be treated.
Can I suggest that you get a copy of "the extractive metallurgy of copper" by biswas and davenport? have a read and refine (so to speak) your process path for native copper.
A hint - smelters will pay a premium, even with a couple of percent gangue, and it will probably go into their converters as coolant. also look at how smelters handle scrap copper.
