I am sure you have read Alexis concerns, like I have.
Really it is about getting a dollar settlement, preferably an annual amount.
If they do go to the hearing, the AER will have no solid foundation to reject the mine. As previous participants have all reversed their "concerns" stance.
Alexis hasn't stopped any mining/oil project to date, but it has been a nice earner for the clan that live 100kms+ away.
Clearly today's announcement shows that they are not keen on making it to a final hearing. They blinked, the ball is now in Alexis court.
Tourmaline hearing is on Monday, hopefully another settlement will be reached and will be next week's news.
