It is finally happening? Is what finally happening?
A listed Investment Company ? I would have thought that if that was their plan when they took over the company they may have mentioned it prior to now? Why wait so long? Could it be that they may have had a tap of the shoulder from the authorities asking what they were up to? Lots and lots of cash and literally no movement for months. If I had taken over a company I would have thought I had a plan for it's future?
Why has the share price risen? Probably because people still hang onto a thread of hope. Why was the price below asset backing (the cash in the bank)? Simply because of the uncertainty.
Rest assured, unless things turn around quickly, there is only one winner here. Let's face it, NEN gambled on Vietnam and lost - we all lost. For those still in from those days the chances of breakeven are pretty much zero. For those in at 2-3 cents, well good luck to you but don't expect miracles.
PS I am not bitter or twisty from my NEN experience, just SAD!
