MG - The guy giving resource stocks a hard time in that article is Geoff Wilson of Wilson Asset Management.
The best performing of his funds for this financial year , the WAM Capital fund has produced a whopping 0% gain (icluding dividends) . The other funds he manages are in negative territory.
Since his fund started in 1999 he has managed a 17% return (including dividends) . Sounds good at first glance , but not too good concidering the all ords is up around 60% since then (excluding dividends). And with compound interest , you'd be better off leaving your money in the bank than giving it to this guy.
Not sure where this he gets off handing out about advice about the current state of the stock market = This looks like a paid for editorial to me. Another fund manager with a big mouth and little subtance .
Further to his rant, GRY's last cap raise a few weeks back sure didn't struggle to attract funds. It was heavily oversubscribed and flies in the face of his comments.
These journo's seem good with paid opinions , not so good with facts.
Carefull what you read in main stream media , its laced with people pushing thier own agendas .
