LN & LVB: Most interesting regarding NATO. At present Denmark annually contributes 44.3 billion USD to NATO, representing 1.35% of GDP, so even to get to the 2% mark is going to add 22 billion USD to the annual cost. And this at a time when Denmark's economy is under a bit of strain, particularly since they are now going to stop importing Russian coal and biomass. Whatever they replace this with is going to inevitably cost more. So will this make the Danes look at their approximately annual 650 million USD subvention to Denmark?

I don't think they will reduce the subvention, let alone stop it, but it might just get them to apply a bit of pressure on Greenland to think about what they are doing, the irony being that Denmark relies a lot on wind power, and what do windmills need? - Neodymium, which won't be coming from Kvanefjeld if the GoG has its way, but probably from China.
