Whenever I hear the collective catchry of the crowd being Resources will be king (as is the case these days with every analyst, journalist, talking head on television etc), then my instinct is to short the resources sector.
My long-held observation is that the time to be buying resource stocks is when everyone hates them and is saying that the sector is dead.
Not when everyone is cheerleading the sector, as is the case today.
