It must be hard being a racist, page-6

Political correctness has gone too far in Australia. I'm a naturalised Aussie (albeit with significant pigmentation!!) - but I'm sure happy to be a part of this country. Incidentally, I came to this country with a genuine visa. LOL.

My life was threatened on many occasions in my (EX)home country - just because I worked in different region from where I was born... and belonging to a minority community, I was a second-hand citizen even in the area where i was born and grew up. An then I moved to the middle east where racism and social stratification was as bad.

We all spout off in Australia, but words hurt far less than the violence we see in other countries. However, in the 25 odd years that I've been here, I've seen a steady deterioration because people bring their petty racism and political attitudes with them when they come here.

With a bit of luck the next generation will leave the hate behind and George Orwell's 1984 will be consigned to the fiction shelves.

Be thankful for this great land.... and if you are not happy with the situation, here is my advice:

If you don't like it, try to change it peacefully,
If you can't change it, live with it,
If you can't live with it, follow the turbidites to the abyssal depths (in stryne... p*ss off).
