I think the title of this thread is to do with boredom @ Moneymaker1979 , well when you are around it is certainly entertaining so thank you for that.
I don't follow 614 and put him on ignore a while ago. Like you I am a long term holder, I have not sold a share yet but the start of the new tax year beckons and selling some to re buy into my ISA (tax free wrapper) is a no brainer. Unfortunately I added to my shares during the year as I did not have the cash to purchase all of them when I first did at $1.40 ish. (happy days). I appreciate your savaging of the non holders. Be kind to those like me who are seeing it through. Those who claim that they have ramped up and then sold are a little like children in playgroup. "with this playdough rocket ship I can fly to the sun" sort of thing. I know I am getting old, but it amazes me that we still get such immature dolts who like to boast of their trading prowess, and then there are others who seems positively awash with glee at the thought of someone else has losing money. Perhaps it makes them feel better about their own sad lives. Well if it helps the fact that they have nothing better to do in life (like making money or even friends) so be it. The ignore button, you have got to love it.
@handy3101 , I have read your recent numerous posts. Until I decide that some poster's sole intent is to be rude to shareholders or in case of many who claim to know the company "like the back of my hand" just post rubbish, I like to try and learn as much as I can. You seem to think that anyone who invests in just one or a few shares is "Hrmm" " putting all your eggs in one basket spec? Hrmm."
Now not to labour a point, but I presume Hrmm is in this context more derogatory? If it was the noise of @reginaldp enjoying one of his excellent wines I would have thought Hmmm. Amazing on m instead of an r can make. It's like a little bit of thought and how much that can improve a post or the articulation of a thought.
I have a share portfolio of 1 company. I have invested knowing the risks and the timescale I have allowed for the investment to prove itself. I have been up £250k and down £150k. Prefer to be up but not concerned about being down. You might want to call me stupid but none of the money is borrowed. I want everyone to make money and I want the therapies to be doing what they should be doing, saving lives.
I am not interested in a balanced portfolio or allocation of assets whatever term you use. High risk, high reward. If I lose it all, sure I will be upset as I work hard to accumulate what I have. But by my analysis, the patents held by the company are if auctioned, worth more than the current value.
When you consider the financial risk to fiat money, inflation etc. I think a large investment in a bio tech on the verge of world beating is not such a bad idea with the fall back on the value of the patents. I might be wrong. But so might you. Something you may want to consider before casting judgement on others investment decisions.
Please add value to the forum, you might enjoy that challenge. Are you up for it? Either way I hope all your investments whatever they are in, prove successful. After all that is what we all want.
Regards
Yelrom
