The latest announcement from Discovery Nickel Limited (ASX:DNL) outlining the results of a Preliminary Mineability Study of the Maun Copper Project in NW Botswana are extremely positive, and very exciting for the road ahead.
The Study was completed by Snowden Mining Industry Consultants who concluded that the Maun Project has the potential to establish profitable open pit, underground or combined operations. An average grade of 1.2% Cu will be required in order to establish an open pit operation.
Potential Project Net Present Values range from US$28M to $341M dependant upon the final average mineralisation grade and copper price.
DNL recently announced that a 20Mt 1.2% Cu (at a 0.6% Cu cut-off) Inferred Resource had been defined at the Zeta Prospect.
A drill program is currently underway to extend this resource and to define further resources on the Project.
The results of the mining study are very positive.
DNL's focus with the current drill program is to try and get the grade above 1.5%Cu and expand the resource at Zeta.
In addition to the resource at Zeta DNL hope to add on a new resource at 'P' grid.

If DNL can do this, things are going to really start moving…....................!

All this, and more will be revealed very soon following on from analysis of the current in-fill drilling results to be announced sometime over the next two to three weeks as announced recently.
