Michael Povey C Eng. B Sc (Hons) A.C.S.M. M.I.E.Aus.M.M. A.A.I.C.D

Mr Povey was born in London in 1955 and is a:

Chartered Engineer;

Associate of the Camborne School of Mines University of Exeter Cornwall UK;

Member of American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM);

holds a Western Australian Unrestricted Quarry Certificate of Competency; and

Associate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AAICD).

He has postgraduate qualifications in engineering and commerce and has 25 years world-wide experience in the mining industry.

He has extensive worldwide experience in mining and mining related industries. This experience has been gained in gold, Urainum, nickel, and copper mines in Southern Africa, North America and Australia and has included mine operations and management resource evaluation and mine development, consulting and business management.

His mining experience has included management positions with the major mining corporations Rio Tinto Ltd, the Anglo American Group of Companies and Johannesburg Consolidated Investments (JCI) at some of the world’s largest open pit and underground operations.
