No disrespect to Ita Buttrose but there are, I am sure, many many more worthy recipients of such an award.
There are thousands of people who volunteer, raise money for charity, save lives - you name it.
Anyway, as a natural born Australian I cannot see the point of this award - we the people don't get a say in it although anyone can nominate someone, this is just a political scam used by politicians to gain a few brownie points.
