Hi Jian Ke, it just occurred to me that Sundance is NOW in an extremely powerful position from China's POV (as opposed to being figuratively trampled like a rag doll back in 2012).
(IMO) Sundance (based on fair assessment of the competing bids) can effectively grant or deny China ownership of the New Pilbara (arguably the only jurisdiction that can fulfill NDRC’s stated national combined strategy in iron ore & infrastructure ownership) and as such determine China’s political influence over the long term in Central Africa (not to mention the PR disaster for China to LOSE Mlabam-Nabeba for the SECOND TIME).
(IMO) I think SDL is in a position of strength with unprecedented ability to dictate.
