There was a post some time ago about a Northern Euroland - Germans, Dutch, Finns - coming about.
These peoples being seen to have more in common, apparently being more fiscally responsible, hard working etc.

Will all/most countries stay in the Union but be allowed to exit the Euro and revert to their own currencies?

Italy has tonnes of Gold, worth billions at present prices. It may be their saving grace.
