If Italy is so bad, i dread to think what Vietnam must be like. Vietnam is close to my heart after living there for so long, so I have many Viet friends. They also live in multigenerational families in VERY densely populated housing. Their health system is diabolical. I once went to one of the busiest public hospitals in HCMC to get an MRI on my back ($100 public or $700 private) and I was shocked by what I saw. People piled into rooms and beds in the hall ways and I am sure they wheeled a few dead people past me. It was not a pleasant experience.

If Italy is the way it is, how would Vietnam be coping in such close proximity to China? They have plenty of Chinese travelling to their country.

I speak to a good Viet friend once a week. She said that EVERYWHERE they go they get body temp checks. They can't go into shopping centres without getting temp checked. She couldn't go into work a few days ago because her temp was 37.8 so she had to wait until it cooled down.

As i said above, the "hug an Asian" stunt was just stupidity at its best. Vietnam is obviously a communist/socialist country and I wouldn't trust the government there for transparency, but if Italy and Spain are suffering, how in the hell is Vietnam coping with such a poor health system to boot.
