Don't need the stock market to show me the economy is slowing down. Just need to go to some of my local major shopping centers and see the number of shops closing down and boarded up spaces where they can't find new rentals. Woolworths was to build a new shop down the road. Those plans have been scrapped. Went through Marsden the other day - only a handful of people wandering around. Long wide corridor and only about five people in it. Loganholme was better, but not much. Obviously a lot of these retailers are struggling.
