The special dividend and the sale of EXT (presumably at this stage) is to ward off Take overs on POLO
I have been looking for where I read this and cant find it but I will post when I do
If Polo sell there shares in EXT that will stop them getting taken out because that is their best asset. I believe they had more than one offer, that is why they got such a good price in comparison to the ASX market price
