Thanks for your honest post AJ,

It is a shame that Polo is out as that was one of the main catalysts of the share price in the first instance as it competed to buy up along with RIO.

Polo ended up receiving $7 per share which in Polo's view is at a premium. ( This is a very different price to the price mentioned by someone at the beginning of the thread).

It is clear to me that Polo wasn't desperate for cash as some had suggested in suggesting a ward off from a take over also as they are going to be returning the majority of the proceeds to it's shareholders through a special dividend.

Special dividends don't ward off takeovers so if Polo is going to be taken over it still will not that this has anything to do with the price of fish.
