    in other news - I see the pundits got it wrong with regard to Indonesian shipments. I reported that it was thought shipments could be as low as 2000 ton for September but in fact they came in as a surprise well over 5000 ton. ITRI gave a few possible reasons but effectively the crackdown on illegal mining/export will have an effect. Solder etc has to be locally traded now perhaps reducing the urge to process further ( remembering ingots only had to be traded and reported)

    either way it meant more tin available in the marketplace and I'd rather see a low tin price because of increased availability rather than because nobody wants it!

    I can see the finish line - just not there yet
