Gents,
great to see the views.
It's becoming a sicker world economically,that's true.
India one third of the big hope(CHINA,INDIA,BRAZIL)has just started the downward slide to join the rest of us.
Brazil is still going gangbusters by all accounts.
Besides rumours the Germans? Britain? others asking for their physical gold back to European soil from American storage-if true.
what happens to the price of gold if the AMEREICANS dump 2000 tons of physical gold. The price collapses and they get to buy it back afterwards for a pittance. Thus cleaning up a large surplus of American dollars floating around the world in the process and enabling a large number of American financial institutions tied to the gold carry business to recapitalise in the process.
Called economic war i believe.
Make all goldies worthless overnight.
The only fly in the ointment would be CHINA,who would love to see the back of US$ treasury bonds and would prefer the physical gold in exchange.
Probably the only reason it hasn't happened-yet?
Maybe they just haven't agreed on the strike price and timing.
DYOR+DYODD Things getting nationalised everywhere,or governments forcing local participation, such as Indonesia,Sth Africa(cronie/regime free handouts)Even the Americans(from Depression) and the British(WW2) have raided individual gold holdings in the past.Only one place in the world hasn't had restrictions on the flow of precious metals in or out and is open to secure majority foreign ownership --- Australia
What premium does that place on an Australian company soley mining in Australia with people used to nationalising foreign investments themselves, now looking to invest safely overseas in places without fear of historical nationalisation of their newly aquired assets.
DYOR+DYODD On that basis an Australia $1000/oz 100koz producer is worth so much more than a $300oz producer in Indonesia or STH Africa(http://www.scribd.com/poberholzer_1/d/67696054-Strategic-Management-of-Mining-Nationalisation)
DYOR+DYODD each day when we look up some see the sun, some see the moon, some see a rising, some see a falling. Is it true we can all be right at the same time?
