It is a stock that gets pummeled in a bear market, and the high Aussie dollar doesn't help, but even so that doesnt mean the SP reflects fair value or anywhere near. The fact that this beast is so dominant and has so much weight to throw around adds quite a bit of value on its own. Not only that, despite a falling SP and supposedly weak economic environment globally, CPU has just been getting stronger and stronger. And I think if the NY Mellon aquisition succeeds, it will be worth more than its weight in gold in terms of the psychological impact on investors and the industry. It will basically go towards cementing CPU as the global leader, reflecting just how dominant CPU really is. But alas the market will take some time to turn the corner.
