IMO the incident is just another example of the well-practiced art of the incredibly self-indulgent, gutter journalism that has become a cult in Australia.

IMO our journos mission to create the news under the banner of 'freedom of the press' extends to demanding protection from prosecution for treacherous acts such as revealing state secrets, protection from revealing sources even when the public interest is seriously compromised, protection from violence when volunteering to report from hot spots such as Cairo and of course protection from the outrage of offended politicians such as Abbott.

Thank goodness for the likes of Michelle Grattan, Paul Kelly and Kerrie O'Brien, since all too often our journos and their editors exercise their power to inflict whatever purile garbage they wish to on a seemingly gullible public.

IMO we still have to admit though that Abbott has been pretty good at throwing stones at others. I suspect many people think it is long past a fair time that one of our otherwise psychophantic journos actually held Australia's political Darth Vader to account by wiping the smirk off his face by catching him with his budgie smugglers down.
