It's a paper bug's dream that if the public are worried about deflation they will put their savings in fixed term bank deposits at ridiculously low rates of "high" interest.

It's the financial elite's dream to receive unimagineable dollar wealth through the transfer of billions and billions of dollars of bail out money in one door and out the other door straight to them, while the public at large are MOPED to believe this money has disappeared from the syatem, instead of looking for a safe resting place to guard against the coming inflation.

Gold bugs know that gold and gold equities will not only protect one's wealth, but allow one to prosper in the tumultuous years ahead.
