I guess I am still too naive to think that such behavior is way too unethical to believe.

I guess I am still in the 'I think our financial advisors are completely inept' camp.

In any case I too hold the belief that gold will be the place to be for a variety of reasons. Either way, fiat systems have their start, their hay day and their end. If the USD at its end? Well that is a contentious question that the decision makers will ultimately have the last say on.
