its actually not all about the weather

Whether the weather....

consists of snow, rain or shine in the regions of MAE exploration/development on a day to day or even a month to month basis ( already inherently known variables and statistically charted ) is almost irrelevant to the bigger picture of the worth of MAE.

Those with Bleary investor eyes seem to be focused on peripheral visions of snow fall per meterage of ground, non-differentiating monetary quarterly reports, daily share prices and volumes, etc, etc...
- and yet fail to see the Central Image of a company ....
with high value reserves/assets, an increasing gas price with increasing demand, experienced, street-smart management who have their own lifework and funds invested in this company and a stated, unambiguous goal from the Kick Off -
...to dress Dolly up and sell her to the highest bidder, at the most opportune time.

So, why retain poor performing assets such as Oklahoma .
Sell it off, gain some currency, increase your street cred and not have it as a liability on the books when Mr Big Takeover Bucks happens to ski down OUR mountain.

Oil and gas exploration takes multiples of months and years and is
potentially fraught with misadventure and unpredictability.

If any punter wishes safe, predictable investment returns then he or she should pop on some comfy slippers and shuffle off to the CBA where a 4.85%-5.10% ppa return would be guaranteed. Good-o.

OK then,
...If the rest of you go-getters wish to sail yachts, drive porsches or ride Harleys ( as previously stated ) then get off the pot and take a few calculable risks over reasonable time frames.
Comfy slippers and leathers just dont go.
