It's not a precise calculation to the dollar, but it shows you directionally what is happening.
At the end of FY19, there were 2127 advisers (300 + 1138 + 689). The avg. fee per adviser (as reported on slide 14) was $19k.
So crude figure s $40 million. The reported gross profit was actually $30.6 million.
Stick with me for a moment, now let's say adviser numbers fall to 1800 advisers by FY20, but the avg. fee goes to $30k (as reported on slide 14), that's $54 million. Now exclude grandfathered commissions of $12 million on an annual basis, $54m - $12m = $42 million. So this means gross profit stays flatish in FY20.
Now look at slide 14 and see the recurring fee increases in FY21! It's 40% growth! The share price should be close to 28 cents!
